Jacob (Israel) – father of the 12 Israel Tribes, a twin brother of Esau, son of Rebecca and Yitzhak, was running away for stealing his brother's blessing from his dieing father, with fear he left to a place called Haran where Jacob decided to rest for the night, he put a stone under his head and fell asleep. In this place Jacob had his first appearance of God, he had a dream. In Jacob's dream was a ladder standing on the ground with his head touching the sky and angels of God walking up and down the ladder, than he heard God's voice: "I am the God of your father Abraham and the God of Yitzhak, the land you are lying on I will give you and your descendants, that will be as the dust of the earth, and you will spread to the west, east, north and to the south. You and your seed will be blessed. I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that".
In this moment when he raises up Jacob understand this is a place of God and that is the gate to heaven, and he called this place Bet El. (The new settlement of Bet El (east of Jerusalem) established in 1977).
The Solution
The ladder is connecting earth with heaven, and for every angel is one good thing Jacob did in his life, as many angels there where.
The movement of the angels first up then down tells him clearly that the purpose of spiritual elevation is not to stay up disconnected from reality but go down to reality and act within his hard work to come.
